This is not a test and it does not assume returning is the right next step. Use it to notice what you need before, during and after any visit.

Before you go

Decide what participation means for this visit. You can attend without joining, giving, volunteering or sharing your story.

  • Am I choosing this freely, or responding to pressure?
  • What would help me feel able to leave?
  • Who can know my plan and check in afterward?

While you observe

Pay attention to behavior, not only warmth or language. Healthy community makes room for agency and questions.

  • How are leaders corrected and held accountable?
  • Are finances, safeguarding and complaint processes clear?
  • What happens when someone says no or disagrees?

Afterward

You do not owe an immediate decision. Notice your body, emotions and thoughts without treating one reaction as the whole answer.

  • What felt grounding, and what felt pressuring?
  • Did my boundaries remain intact?
  • What evidence would I need before taking another step?
