Burnout is not a spiritual grade. These questions can help you notice depletion and decide what support or change may be needed.
Take an honest inventory
Look beyond productivity. Consider sleep, health, relationships, empathy, resentment, dread and your ability to be present.
- What has changed in my body, mood or relationships?
- Which responsibilities feel impossible to set down?
- What do people close to me keep trying to tell me?
Untangle calling from role
A title or assignment is not the whole of your relationship with God. Stepping back can be responsible, even when other people are disappointed.
- What only I can do, and what can be shared or stopped?
- What fear appears when I imagine reducing my role?
- Who benefits from my endless availability?
Build a supported next step
Serious or persistent symptoms deserve qualified care. A medical provider or licensed counselor can help assess factors that spiritual advice alone cannot.
- What needs to change this week?
- What protected recovery time can I name clearly?
- Which independent person can help me follow through?
